October 2026

The full rebuild: every page re-checked, with closures removed and new pages added for neighborhoods, Pride, visitors and newcomers.

  • Opened Solera opened in June 2026 and is the Bronx's only gay nightclub. See the Bronx guide.
  • Back The 988 Lifeline's LGBTQ+ youth service (the "Press 3" option) has been restored. Crisis numbers are on Essentials.
  • Dates Queens Pride is held on the first Sunday in June (June 6 in 2027, pending confirmation), and the NYC Pride March should fall on Sunday, June 27, 2027, pending the official announcement. See NYC Pride.
  • Closed Elmo in Chelsea closed in March 2026 and Barracuda Lounge closed in 2025. Rebar's old space reopened as G Lounge. See Chelsea.
  • Closed In Brooklyn, Macri Park (January 2026), Club Lambda BK (February 2026) and The Rosemont (late summer 2026) have all closed. See Brooklyn and Williamsburg.
  • Closed Bluestockings Cooperative shut its storefront in September 2025 and wound up at the end of that year. Current bookshops are on Arts & Culture.
  • Closed True Colors and Club Evolution in Jackson Heights and The Highwater in Astoria are gone. See Jackson Heights and Astoria.
  • Moved Lucky Cheng's says it relaunches in October 2026 at Secret Room, 707 Eighth Avenue. See drag shows.
  • Moved The Boiler Room is now at 45 Second Avenue, and the Brooklyn Community Pride Center is at 1561 Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights.
  • Moved The Nonbinarian bookshop now has a permanent storefront at 1130 President Street in Crown Heights.
  • Renamed The Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps is now The Queer Big Apple Corps, and Drag Story Hour NYC became Drag Artists for Expression NYC.
  • Dates The Pines Party is confirmed for July 30 to August 1, 2027. See Fire Island.
  • Heads up At Jacob Riis Park, the National Park Service lists Bays 1 and 4 as closed. Bay 1 is the historic queer section, so check alerts before a beach day. See Queens.
  • Heads up The American LGBTQ+ Museum is not open yet and is now expected in 2028. The exhibition to see meanwhile is at The New York Historical. See Arts & Culture.
  • Heads up Two city Sexual Health Clinics (Crown Heights and Riverside) are closed until further notice. Open locations are on Sexual Health.
